Lesson Structure and Choice

Each music lesson is tailored to the individual person, like you, with one-to-one private tuition, helping you to learn through the songs and styles of music that you are passionate about. While I think that music theory is a great basis for starting to understand playing any instrument, it’s not that which you fall in love with at a concert or on the radio, so I would never push you through it for the sake of it, as our lessons are really driven by you, the student and what you want to achieve!

Covering all styles (acoustic and electric), exam boards (ABRSM, RGT, Trinity, Rockschool with 100% pass rate), genres (blues, pop, rock, classical, jazz, country, funk, Motown, disco, metal, prog, Irish, bluegrass), ages (above 6, including many adults and retired people). and ability (beginner, intermediate, advanced).

I know I have lessons that will help you achieve your dreams on your instrument, be it guitar lessons, drums, bass, piano, singing, ukulele, banjo or theory lessons.

Musical Quote

There is a lovely quote that goes Music expresses that which cannot be put into words. “ by Victor Hugo and I can fully agree with this sentiment.

Annoyingly talented, patient teacher who will happily work with novices talking on a level they can understand, to advanced students looking to diversify their skills.

Cannot recommend enough! Chris has managed to teach my daughter to play with confidence and go from a girl that wouldn’t play in front of others due to lack of belief in herself to being asked to join the school orchestra and is already at exam level, she loves her lessons and its a joy to see.

  • I went to see chris for guitar lessons, he is very professional and makes you feel comfortable right away. A fantastic teacher And highly recommended!

  • I wanted to help my teenage son to get back into playing the acoustic guitar, and needed to find a teacher who could inspire him. Chris was the perfect choice : he was very encouraging, made the lessons fun, and helped my son learn to play some of his favourite songs. Chris is a very accomplished musician and uses technology to help with lessons which helps for practice too. My son enjoyed seeing his progress and was inspired to spend time on his guitar between lessons.Highly recommended !
